RICHARD BOUKAS has been a leader of BRAZILIAN MUSIC ENSEMBLES for forty-five years.
Performances feature his acclaimed original compositions and legendary repertoire: BRAZILIAN SONGBOOK (MPB), BRAZILIAN JAZZ, and REGIONAL GENRES.
An internationally recognized artist and expert on Brazilian music, he has presented RESIDENCIES throughout North America and Brazil.

Diálogos Duo is the preeminent clarinet-guitar duo specializing in contemporary Brazilian music. Founded in 2016 and featuring virtuoso clarinetist LOUIS ARQUES, BOUKAS has composed 115 pieces for the Duo– the largest original Brazilian repertoire worldwide.
The Duo has released two CDs and performed at noted venues including Jazz Forum, NYC Classical Guitar Society and broadcasts on Performance Today (American Public Radio) and WKCR (Columbia Univ.).
Diálogos Duo also presents RESIDENCIES.
BOUKAS-FULLER DUO
Boukas and itinerant bassist JEFF FULLER have performed together for more than ten years. The repertoire includes music of Brazilian luminaries including HERMETO PASCOAL, A.C. JOBIM, JOHNNY ALF and PIXINGUINHA. Both are in-demand educators for RESIDENCIES in Brazilian music.
